Funerals

As the branches of the birch tree reach out and its leaves unfold, a funeral ceremony allows memories to unfold and be shared, accompanying those who grieve.

My approach

Together, we create a ceremony that reflects the person who passed away, allowing the bond you share with them to be expressed, shared with others, and honored. My aim is that this time of remembrance can bring you a sense of serenity and peace as you navigate this moment in your life.

During our preparatory meeting, we take the time needed for me to understand, through your words, the story of your loved one: their journey through life, their relationship with you, their personality, their beliefs… From these conversations, a common thread begins to emerge, along with anecdotes, meaningful and symbolic elements that gradually shape a ceremony that feels right and gives meaning to the life that was lived.

Then comes the time to write the ceremony: its structure, the testimonies from family and friends, the musical interludes, as well as the tribute I will deliver as celebrant. The full ceremony script is shared with you beforehand for your feedback and adjustments.

Throughout these few days of preparation, which can be emotionally intense, we remain in close contact, and I adapt to your wishes and intentions.

We then meet again before the ceremony to prepare the space and take care of the final details. Then we welcome those who have come to pay their respects, and the ceremony begins…
